Chronic Constipation


Chronic constipation is defined as less than three bowel movements per week along with straining and hard lumpy stools.  Associated symptoms include bloating, lethargy, and feeling of incomplete emptying of the colon.

Constipation may be related to medication or a medical disease.  The most common cause of constipation is Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Below is a brief description of a currently enrolling study. If you are interested in volunteering, you can complete the questionnaire to see if you qualify for participation.
