Endometriosis


Endometriosis is the presence of tissue from the uterus developing outside the uterus in abnormal locations. It may be anywhere in the pelvic cavity. Endometriosis usually develops in women between 25 to 30 years old. It is frequently asymptomatic but can cause problems such as adhesions (scar tissue), bowel obstruction, pelvic pain, irregular bleeding, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea, bloating, pain with intercourse and infertility.
