Symptoms include burning or pain in the upper abdomen usually relieved quickly by taking antacids. Symptoms usually re-occur within 1 to 2 hours. Stomach ulcers may get worse with food but ulcers in the Duodenum (just beyond the stomach) get better with food. Complications include bleeding, vomiting, perforation (a hole in the bowel wall) and possible obstruction of the bowel. Below is a brief description of a currently enrolling study.
